When I first moved to the West Suburbs I was vigorously warned not to eat at Dominick's Pizza. At first I didn't understand why people would get pizza from Dominick's, assuming they meant the grocery store that previously existed. Once I learned it was a restaurant that was not associated with the grocery store I asked why I shouldn't eat there. I was told the service was awful and they will ban you from the restaurant if you complain about anything. Anyway, I like to experience things for myself...so I checked them out. Their thin crust pizza is great. Their gluten free thin crust pizza is great. Their service in the restaurant, at the counter, and for delivery is always helpful and friendly. I have no idea what my friend did to anger them. I am assuming it was their fault. The only thing I do not like about Dominick's is the parking lot. It is frightening on a Friday night. This past Friday I sat on St Charles waiting to turn in for an entire song on the radio while waiting for people to get in and out of cars. Business must be good.

We ordered the Margheritta pizza, and it was very different from last time we ordered it. The crust was so thin, it felt like you were eating a cracker with salt. I am not a fan of thin crust, and this was terrible. We ordered regular, not thin crust. Last week we did order a thin crust, and a lot of it was burnt and black. I am hoping it is only two isolated incidents because I love the regular pizza.

Dominick's never fails me! The food is always fantastic and the service is on point. Keep the deliciousness going!

My absolute fav is the pasta carbonara. I love their food and their staff. When we moved to wheaten, we still make the drive to villa park just for Dominick's!

Ordered a $25 pizza and it came all messed up from delivery. The guy asked me to send him pictures and then said "it's not that bad." Plus, the pizza wasn't honestly very good. It was cold and the onions were too tough to chew...I had to pull them off the whole pizza. The cherry on top was that I ordered a liter of Diet Dr. Pepper and got regular. Kind of funny, to order diet pop with a pizza, but it was a $40 order with several mistakes. Needless to say, I won't be ordering from there again.

I am surprised to see any negative reviews for this place! Dominick's is an amazing local business. Their pizza is worlds better than any pizza chain around. Also, their customer service has only been excellent for me. They are always friendly and willing to answer questions I have about my order. I've never had a bad experience. I know they also support other local businesses too. Not only do they have great food and great customer service, but they also care about their community and give back. Ok, I need to stop writing this now because I am getting hungry for their pizza...it's really delicious, I can smell it now! :)

Please read! Do not support this business! What a horrible experience! Customer service is clearly not in their philosophy. I spoke with the manager about a catering order that I had received (I was not happy with it and asked for additional sauce for the pasta). I prefaced the conversation with the fact that I've ordered from them many times and that have had very good food from them. He was not at all accommodating to my simple request and instead was very defensive. After he questioned my request in a less than polite manner, I said in a simple, cool, calm and collective manner "if you don't want to give me the extra sauce, that is fine, I will just choose to not order from you any longer". He then became angry, and said that he would not respond to my threats. I again repeated what I had said to which he started irately rambling....to which I laughed and just said "wow, I really can't believe this is the type of customer service you provide" and had to hang up because he continued yelling. Wow. I've ordered from this place many times because I used to like their food but have ALWAYS had a huge problem with their customer service and wait times. The girls who work the phones and at the front counter have horrible attitudes and have absolutely no customer service skills.

I am pizza lover!! Ive ordered 3 times already since I found this place!! Every time I order for delivery the phone girls are so sweet and nice and take my order so fast!! The pizza is awesome and I've ordered apps and pasta also and never disappointed!! It's really nice to have owners of pizzerias like this that care to run a legit biz and put out such a great and consistent product!! Great job guys!! I'm a loyal customer and will keep ordering!! P.s take advantage of their coupons!! Great savings!!

Dominick's is usually my go-to pizza place, and not just because it's close to home. One of the main reasons I like this place is that they aren't usually skimpy with the toppings. I always order the veggie pizza and most times it comes loaded with toppings. They're usually pretty accommodating here if you have a special request (extra cheese, extra sauce, etc.), though sometimes they're pretty strict about certain "no substitution" rules. Their pan pizza crust is to die for - super fluffy and bready goodness! I'm rarely disappointed with a pan pizza from here. The only down sides to this place is the pizzas and wait times can be pretty variable. Some nights I get a pizza that's piled with toppings and low on grease in the bottom of the box - and other nights the pizza's still great but feels a little lacking either in sauce or toppings, and sometimes there's quite a grease stain in the bottom of the box. But, I mean, it's pizza! Grease is kind of part of the pizza experience! I guess it just depends on who's working and making the pizzas the night you order. And yeah, the wait times can be pretty unpredictable (sometimes around 20 minutes and other times around 45 minutes), but you NEVER wait an unbearable amount of time, and it depends on the complexity/size of your order. Prices can be a little steep for pizza but the pizza's so good I hardly even mind... One thing to keep in mind: Make sure your menu is up-to-date. I feel like I end up with a re-printed menu from Dominick's every couple weeks, and you never know when what's on the menu is going to change, or if they changed their weekly specials or something. Overall, it's not a big deal, and if they've recently changed anything they usually staple a menu to your order when you pick it up, anyway. I've never eaten in here - I'm all about carry-out. But the place is never a ghost town and usually has people dining in. It looks like a great family environment, or a good place to take a kids' sports team after a game or something. Friendly service and a real "part of the neighborhood" feel! I love Dominick's. I don't even consider ordering a pizza from anywhere else. I am and will continue to be a fan!

Disappointed by their service and pizzas lately . My family has order pizza since they were on St. Charles. Their pizza quality has gone down. Much more greasy. The customer service is arrogant and rude. They obviously know who their returning customers are bc they track the telephone number, they sure don't treat you like you're appreciated . They won't take coupons if you forget to mention during the order and you have the coupon at the time of pick up. Would it kill you to honor the coupon and keep your customer happy?

Service and food could be better. Much better local businesses. The pizza is OK, but not that great.

  • Jared W.

Definitely enjoyed our pizza from Dominick's last night. I'm a big believer that crust and sauce go a long way for a pizza, and Dominick's hIts the mark on both points. The thin crust is good, but in the land of deep dish pizza, remember that thin crust is a relative term. Really easy to find on St Charles Rd, and even on a Saturday night, we were in and out really quickly for a pickup.

  • Nafeesah A.

I had eaten their food twice since this was a favorite place for someone I knew, but I do have a some points I would like to make they need to get their timing down in terms of delivery because this is not acceptable especially when customers want their food to be warm when they get it. Second point they need to stop skimping on the dressing because when I ordered a large house salad they gave two small cups of dressing on the side they should have a larger size to accompany a salad like that-which was delicious, but could do without the green olives since it makes the salad too salty. I had their calamari which was good, but way too greasy when it should be somewhat crunchy and not soaked in oil. Their ravioli was very good except it could have had more cheese in them. I have gone to Italian restaurants where the ravioli was bulked out with cheese and other ingredients. I also would like to see them improve service so that when they get reviewed it can be positive ones. Their pizza shouldnt be skimping on the sauce because it makes it soggy when it's thinned out. Overall,,,,the food is ok.

Service and food have greatly improved! Although mama Maria's in Elmhurst is still the best in the area.

PLEASE READ Very disappointed We have gone to Dominick's a couple of times and liked it. Tonight was a total different story. We got their pizza and it was horrible and the crust was stuck to the box. I THOUGHT that they were a nice establishment but I was dead wrong. I called and was very polite and calm and then I talked to there very in unaccommodating manager. I waited about a half hour to call because I was waiting for an intermission in the hawks game. He said he couldn't do anything in such an unpleasant way I had to end the phone call with bad taste in my mouth because of him. I will NEVER go back to a place that treats their customers like that.

  • Eric W.

The pizza here is the best in town. The deep dish is amazing and we have had many friends start ordering from here after they eat their pizza. I haven't really ordered anything other than pizza so I can't give a review on the other items on the menu. The staff is always friendly. Some people have complained about the pricing but I am willing to pay a few dollars more for a quality pizza with good fresh ingredients. There are plenty of places that make a cheap pizza but you get what you pay for!

  • AMANDA C.

This place used to have really good food and decent customers service. Now the food is nothing special and customer service is horrible. They act like they are doing everyone a favor by being open. Which is a bummer, because it is hard to find a good local pizza place.

  • Eric R.

We have ordered pizza from here several times because they have a gluten free pizza. It is usually good, though the service is not very impressive. They generally treat you like they are doing YOU a favor by charging WAY TOO MUCH for their pizza. This time, they goofed up on our pizza. No big deal, it happens. But we didn't want to wait another 40 minutes and drive 10 minutes to get food, we just wanted them to refund our money. When we talked to them on the phone, they said all they could offer us was a $10 credit on a $20 pizza. Unless we RETURNED THE PIZZA. Seriously? I just returned a pizza to the store! Who asks you to do that. Of course, when I stopped in I asked to speak to a manager. He was not impressed with my plight, but did thank me for my suggestion that they review their policies. Awesome. I will take his thank you, put it in the oven, cook it for 40 minutes and serve it to my family. Delicious.

I don't understand the 56 (as of 7/13/13) filtered reviews, most of them 4 or 5 stars. We hadn't been to Dominick's in well over 15 years but decided to try it for an eat-in dinner last night. That day we received a copy of their menu in the mail and the menu sounded good and the prices seemed reasonable. Our expectations were exceeded. The eat-in area is very nicely decorated. Booths, chairs and tables are all in good condition. Service was excellent and then probably the most important part, the food, was very, very good. They started us out with complimentary twisted cheese bread sticks. Very good. I had the Dominick's house salad with creamy garlic dressing. God, I love that stuff! Between my husband and me, we had the chicken rice soup, garlic bread, eggplant parmesan and side of mostaccoli. All of it was delicious. Granted the eat-in part of the restaurant was empty but we received our food quickly and everything was hot and plated very nicely. We had enough leftovers for another meal. All of the staff we encountered were friendly. Our bill, before tip, was $22.00. Can't complain about that. I hope this review does not end up in the 'filtered reviews' section. It is a legitimate review.

Last week my sister and I decided to give Dominicks a chance. The previous restaurant we ordered pizza from was nothing more than ragu on cardboard. Bleh! I have to say this was a good pizza. Not as good as Old World pizza, but definitely better than the last pizza joint we ordered from. The staff was very nice and helped me figure out how to scan my belly card. Why is it always so difficult to use the belly card device? Ugh. Price? Not bad. For a large deep dish pizza (is there any other kind you should eat if you are in Chicago?) with spinach, and after a $2 coupon, it was just over $21. It's definitely more pricey where I live and not as good. When I go back to visit my big sister, I think I want us to actually eat in and try some of the other dishes on the menu. I'm a big pasta fan...so take that as your warning Dominicks! We are coming back with empty stomachs and ready to impress! Saw a few of the bad reviews on here. Hmmm....well hopefully the owner(s) will read your complaints and make improvements. There are plenty of options in that area and bad reviews can only make someone decide to go some place else. My recommendation would be to give it a try. I'm definitely going back.

Food was just very bad! Ordered Hot Wings, Italian Combo, Chicken Vesuvio, Super Beef Sandwich, Ribs Dinner and dessert. The Italian combo was the worst I've ever had -dry and tasteless. The Vesuvio was just two tiny pieces of chicken breast with 4 large potato wedges. It wasn't horrible, just not very good at all. The Beef sandwich wasn't terrible but it too was not very good. The hot wings were dried out and just plain nasty. The Ribs were terrible and about 1/2 the size of ribs from any place else. They were dry and tasteless. All in all a horrible experience and it was our first and thankfully our last time ordering food from here. Do yourselves a favor and try some place else (ANY place else!)

This place is average at best. They have some decent dinner items but their pizza is the SOOOOOO overrated! Not a fan of their sauce at all!

  • Michele S.

Dominick's is some of the best pizza in the area. My brother-in-law introduced me to the deliciousness, and now I'm a big fan. We usually just grab a pizza to go. My favorite thing about their pizza is the sauce. It's so flavorful, and the amount slathered on is perfect. Topping-wise I like to get my B-I-L's favorite which is the bacon and sausage. I like the bacon at Dominick's because they actually crisp it up prior to putting it on the pizza. I've not been able to get that anywhere else, and their sausage is top notch awesome. The crust on the thin crust is crispy and one of the best crusts around the area. I've always had super friendly service when I come in, so what's not to like?

This place leaves a bad taste in my mouth. For two reasons, (1) the food is mediocre at best, (2) the management got in my friend's face over a coupon that we rightfully deserved to redeem. We asked if we had placed 2 separate orders, one with specials and one with non-specials, if we could have used it.. She vehemently replied "Yeah! But you didn't" Complete waste of time, go to Mickey's next door.

Enjoy everything we get here:) amazing food great prices :) after reading the reviews I felt then need to chime in.. People always seem to never be happy and will write a bad review but truth being told the happy consumers that return time after time never take the time to review an already favorite family hot spot try it out you won't forget their mouth watering dishes and great pizza

I have eaten at so many Italian restaurants in my life being Italian, I must say that the food was very good. Although they were busy, the food came out hot and fast, service was very good and we enjoyed the experience as a whole. My suggestion is the pizza and chicken parmesan. I would recommend this to anyone in the area that has not tried this place out! So many Italian restaurants but this one will truly stick out from the rest. Family owned you can tell and true to the roots.

  • Will A.

This place is definitely one of my favorites, I use them for catering as well as lunches for customers of mine! The management really does a great job at making you feel like you are one of the family members! And at the end of the day we are all looking to be treated respectfully and like someone's family into a restaurant. The staff is all trained with the utmost care and all know that it is important to treat customers correctly. Even when I am seeing a customer get frustrated over something silly the owner is always taking among themselves to make the situation right and the customer never leaves frustrated or upset The food is absolutely amazing I have never had a better pizza in my life. I heard one family talk about how they drove all the way out from the North Shore just enjoy the pizza is that good almost like it's been in the family for years. The pizza is so good where can I find it! I have also enjoyed many other pasta dishes as well as appetizers everything is truly spectacular the desserts are amazing as well the gelato is just scrumptious... And when it comes to the deliveries that I have a pizza delivered to my house on multiple occasions. The one time that really stands out was after I underwent a surgery on my foot , I was not able to walk when I came to the door and the delivery man realize that I was struggling to walk he actually went into the house and set it on the table for me ! Now that is customer service that is what any restaurant owner strives for that is truly what it takes to have a successful wonderful restaurant! All of the staff members from the phone girls, waitresses, management, pizza makers, delivery man, and all have a care for the customers happiness!! But I'll see you all there soon thanks for another great family dinner frank, Enzo, and Maria! !

Where's the Love folks? Dominick's is a great example of a mom & pop locale that serves good food and gives back to the community. The food is a solid 4 stars. Since the man grew up in VP, Dominick's has been a go-to for pizza while we were dating and usually the place of choice when we're at his Mom's and want a no fuss but good dinner. The menu has a lot of options besides pizza--sandwiches, salads, pastas. Our go-to is always the thin crust sausage and mushroom. The Pizza is good. Nice and crispy crust edges (my favorite parts of the pizza) and always a nice layering of cheese and toppings. Fresh ingredients, tasty sauce and never too salty. Most recently on a suggestion of Angela P, I tried the fried calamari and the Pasta Favorita (rigatoni). It was all delicious! The calamari was fresh, not rubbery, served with lemon and marinara. The Pasta Favorita is a red cream sauce with fresh mushrooms and sausage. Definitely a new fave! The pasta was perfectly cooked and there was a good amount of sausage and mushroom. Add some red pepper flakes for a little kick! YUM! What adds that extra Yelp star? Dominick's is always hosting special days where proceeds go to local kids sports leagues or local charities. Most recently they hosted a dessert tasting for a new catering business in the area. How can you not love a business that gives back to it's community. 5 stars easily!

This was probably the 10th time I have dined in at Dominick's pizza. However this time, I had my whole family, a party of 12 to be exact. Of course Dominick's pizza always does it right, great service and fantastic food. With a large party on a busy Saturday night, our server and kitchen staff was accommodating to different diets (including gluten free). The appetizers were great, from the baked clams to the calamari and the pizza was delicious . My overall experience at this place is was perfect and would recommend even getting the food delivered. ( I do this at least once a week). Food arrives on time and warm ready to eat. Thumbs up to the family and staff at Dominick's pizza.

These guys rock... Visiting with friends last night in Villa Park turned into a late stay, mainly due to car problems but never mind that... While my friends and I like to debate over anything worthwhile to debate over we hit on the subject of pizza & pizza delivery..... Me, being a fan of Dominick's pizza already, I was confident and ready to bet my buddy with his choice of a "we'll call it a pizza place.. Lol" We both order'ed a simple large pepperoni & sausage, both at the same time (10:59 pm) ..... Both with a 2 liter of pop... Now mind you my buddy & I put a simple gentlemen a bet over who's is better. ...... Long story short, Dominick's came through with my order within the timeframe they said they would Delish pizza btw ..... My buddy's choice ... Well let's just say I won Ha!! So thank You Guys at Dominicks for consistently doing what you do best!..

Had coupon from the mail. Ordered their Sunday Special with Italian beef and sweet peppers. got it home, looked ok, but.... virtually NO tomato sauce ! Just a little watery red color around the edges. Tasted like an Italian beef sandwich, NOT pizza. I called and spoke to manager to express my disappointment. He said that's the way they always make it and the next time I order to ask for extra sauce. How was I to know ? He strongly said it was my fault not theirs. No apology or any offer to remake this pizza. He really did not care. Guess who's not ever going back or recommending this place. NO customer service at all. In fact, he even had the balls to say that I really got a deal because of the Sunday special coupon. Never again !

The pizza here is pretty decent although $12.00 for a 10-inch plain cheese pizza is a bit out of reach. Service was odd, as if you are "bothering" them by walking in, very cold and aloof. 4 stars is based on the taste of the food, knocked off a star for price and service.

Ive been a customer of Dominicks on and off for years. Food is usually pretty good with a few disappointments now and then. Tonight the driver forgot to drop off a cold 2 liter of soda so I called and asked if they could call the driver and ask what happened to it. I called back 10 mins later to see what was happening and was told he'd bring it by when he finished his other delivery. I asked for the Mgr and asked for some consideration for the driver's error while my $30 of food was getting cold. The Mgr said "Where's your compassion? What's the big deal? Don't you have anything to drink, like water or something?"I told him if I did have soda I wouldnt be paying him $2.50 for a 2 liter to help deal with the spicy pepperoni pizza. The Mgr failed to be concerned much less professional. A good manager would have shown concern and fixed the problem and shown the cust. his busines is appreciated. There are many other choices in my area. Dominicks lost my business.

Food was okay. I had a combo sandwich that wasn't anything to write home about. The real kicker was the manager gave us a hard time about using a coupon we had. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant... there are so many other options for Italian food that have way better service.

Hard to give 5 stars to any pizza joint, but I would give Dominick's a 4.5 star. Just moved to the neighborhood but was familiar with the area. Had never ordered a pizza from them and really wasn't expecting much. But to me and my wife's surprise, it was delicious!!! The sauce was great and I thought I would never say this, but it was better then Nardi's Pizza in Addison. And that's hard to do. Keep up the good work Dominick's and we order every chance we get!!! Thanks!!

We have tried a bunch if different things from here. Pizza is good, wraps and sandwiches are too. I would bit recommend fried combo platter. The breaking is a little bland for my taste. Other then that we like it

When I first moved to Villa Park about 4 years ago, Dominick's was the first place we ordered pizza from. And I just remember LOVING it. We had it several times over the past few years, and there were no complaints. Fast forward to last night. Had a bunch of friends over with their kids, ordered a JUMBO cheese. Just cheese, picky kids. Ordered the pizza to be picked up. Well, I didn't realize that the person that PLACES the order MUST be the one to pick it up. My boyfriend ran over there to pick up the pizza, and apparently the girl wrote down "ETSY" instead of "BETSY", and when my bf told her he was there to pick up the pizza, she was obviously convinced he was trying to pull a fast one. Pizza thievery! So she asked him what my phone number was. Really, these days, who knows ANYONE'S phone number, it's programmed into your handy smart phone. Gave him huge attitude, and when she finally released the precious pizza into his care, he handed her his credit card, and she snottily asked if she could see some ID. Oddly enough, I always place my orders over the phone, usually for delivery, and give my credit card number over the phone, which doesn't require me to show ID. (Sidenote: If she was asking for his ID for his protection or their own protection, totally cool. I get it. But she was just giving him more hassle for a $15 pizza) After all is said and done, pizza gets home, and as Yelp states above "MEH, I've experienced better." Super disappointed. The pizza isn't the same, and after the rudeness this girl gave to my bf, we won't be coming back there anytime soon. And it's a shame, looks like other Yelpers love their menu. I'm not going to pay someone to treat us like that.

Sunday night special-- Veal parmesan, side of pasta, and bread for $8.00. This is the deal of the century and it is delicious. We have gotten this once a month for several years. Their reuben sandwich is also excellent-- loaded with corned beef and smothered in gooey cheese. In the past, we had service issues with the girls who work the counter. Things have improved and they are now friendly.

I love this place! I used to crave it back when I lived in the area. I was raised on pizza and I'm a total topping snob. I like my toppings to be plentiful and rich in quality which is something Dominicks is no stranger to. The one thing that really stands out about Dominick's though is their plain ole cheese pizza. Back in the day you could get a free small cheese if you had enough menus or box tops or something saved up and it's just sooo good. I know it seems silly to rave about plain cheese pizza but honestly, I don't know what it is but it hypnotizes. I, for the most part, hate plain cheese pizza. It's for kids and whiny babies who can't handle the manly flavor of delicious toppings... Or so I thought. This pizza has so much flavor already in the crust and the sauce and the cheese blend that you really don't even need toppings. It's strangely perfect. The appetizers are also fabu! Everything is good and they have an extensive selection. I LOVE their baked clams, wings, breaded mushrooms, artickoke, etc ... it's truly all great. Also, I'm not a pasta person but I do think their pasta is exceptional. I've tried some of their sandwiches as well and sadly, I'm not a fan but that's okay. Everything else on their menu is savory and damn near perfect so it's easy to let the sammies slide. One last note, the value is exceptional. Such a nominal fee for greatness and their delivery is very speedy.

Excellent! Had the eggplant parmesan and it was very good. Wish they had put it under the broiler for a few seconds to brown/crisp up the cheese, but, all in all it was very good. Nice portions, too. Husband had the veal parmesan and enjoyed it. And since neither one of us is a beer or wine drinker it would be nice if they had a full bar. Our server was very helpful, too. Prices were very reasonable also.

We have visited the place a number of times. The food is always good! The pizza is always good and tasty. The Greek salad is delicious. Customer service is always good. My only hang up us that they are a little expensive.

I almost just passed out when I realized that after ALL these years...I have yet to review them!! Sorry D-Money! I'm about to get on top of things... I have been getting food from here for like 20 years...literally! My mom used to get pizza from here when I was younger and I have ordered various items over the years as well, including quite a few catering orders. =] This family owned restaurant has some of the best customer service and awesome food to top it all off! And another plus, is they are super affordable! Some of my favorites from here are their homemade mozzarella sticks, super chicken sandwich, pasta carbonara (I add sauteed mushrooms and peas), antipasto tray, Mediterranean style pasta and last but DEF not least their pizzas. Everything is fresh and fabulous. The pizza is a thin style crust with just the right amount of crunch and the toppings are plentiful and delicious! My ultimate favorite menu item, though, is the cheese sticks!! OMG...they are seriously THE BEST...anywhere!! SO fresh and you can just tell they are homemade by the quality of the cheese. Seriously, add them onto your order next time, you will not be disappointed! Seriously...anyone in VP or Lombard that has not already tried the deliciousness that is Dominick's...get your ass in there and support local businesses! Thanks. =]

Called to place an order for delivery after receiving their ad in the mail. My first question was, "do you deliver to Elmhurst?" To which he responded "We don't go past york." Great, I live a few blocks west of york and I'm very excited to try the restaurant so he asks for my address and, checking with THE DRIVER he then says no "you're out of our area but you're welcome to pick up." I wonder how the managers or owner's feel about the driver dictating delivery bounds. Very rude interaction.

This place is a joke like other reviewers I have found the customer service here is awful and the food is ok at best SO many other options that are way better do yourself a favor and order someplace else

Holy Biz-alls! I recently had a sausage, chicken and Giardinera pizza and I swear, I died and went to heaven. They never disappoint! Love Dominick's!

By far the best thin crust pizza I've ever had! I used to live in Elmhurst and this beats their top pizza joints (Roberto's, Mama Maria's). Not to mention they mail out coupons almost every week.

Good pizza and good staff. I love the thin crust pizza. If you're looking for pizza in the western burbs, this has to be on the list to have.

I want to start out by saying this review is for my boyfriend, "Brandon B" who does not have a Yelp account.. moving on.....I go to dominicks about 2 times a week for lunch. I usually get the brandon special which is the spaghetti with a side of sauce, mini meatballs and some cheesy garlic bread. Alittle olive oil and butter to accompany. DELISH Friendly and fast love the artichoke. Not many places even serve something that great. Brandon

Since I started working in the Area 1.5 years ago, my co-workers told me to go try it out. Went over there and picked me up a slice of Pepperoni and a slice of cheese. Man... those two slices were pretty delicious. The place is a small, plain and not much going on. Granted, I've only been there around lunch time, but that is the jist of it. You show up, place your order and kick back for a few minutes to get your food. Usually you'll find a few local gold rocking soprano type regulars or your local work crew with a samich. The price is very good for a slice, just a little over $2. They also have a pretty decent 2 burger special with fries and a can of pop for $5. They also have good freshly made italtian sandwiches. They have your typical deep fried sides. But I think the killer lunch here is the pizza. The cheese pizza, usually dull and not so good.. very good here. It hase some tastey seasonings. The pizza over all is fresh out of the oven, melty cheese, crunchy crust and nice and saucey. If youre in for lunch, definitely stop by for a slice, you wont regret it.

Hmmm where to start... I know.. This is the best Pizzeria around!! I come here a few time's a week, and still have a hard time choosing what to eat. Everything is so good, and they are alway's adding new thing's to the menu! My top three item's would have to be any pizza, buffalo chicken wrap, and calamari! They also alway's have some sort of special going on. Super affordable, great italian cuisine!

Went to pick up a pizza, salad & tortellini. Got home and found the pizza wasn't very warm & there was cheese ravioli instead of tortellini. When we called about these issues we talked with a rude employee claiming to be the owner, named Chris. After slinging insults and attitude, Chris finally offered a measly $6 for the $8 meal they messed up. And as far as the pizza was concerned we were told it wasn't as warm because we picked it up and didn't have it delivered. His claim was that because we picked the pizza up & not delivered, that it wasn't going to be as warm because they use special pizza bags. We live 2 minutes away - cmon now! Also, the girls they have at the front counter have non-existent personalities and come across very rude. This is not a good way to run a business. I'm sad all of this has occurred and will no longer be returning to this establishment. Hopefully they can get their act together, get rid of jerks like Chris and the rude girls at the front counter. Customer service: the customer is always right, regardless of how upset they get.

I think this place is shady. And I'll tell u why.... My mom decided to try this place since they delivered. So she placed in order. I decided that I would treat and use my credit card, since I'm visiting from Out of town. She gave the cc #, expiration date, EVEN the last 3 #'s on the back of the card. Soooooooo, Everything was fine TIL they asked for my address. I have NEVER had any delivery place ask that for security purposes in any state I have been in. I couldn't believe it. I said that was ridiculous. The guy on the phone must of heard me say that and told my mom (who was the one on the phone) in a sarcastic voice that, "this is Illinois not California." Btw...we never told them were I was from. And that is no reason to ask me for my address. And to think I almost gave it to them *signs*. Then I would of been the effen idiot. My mom said we would pay cash and hung up. Thought about it for a minute and told my mom to cancel. So we called back and canceled. I was thinking maybe they were trying to steal my info. Why else would they ask for all that. My mom thought that they questioned us because of our last name. Which is Latin. Saying they r racist. Whatever the case may be I feared they might do something to our food. Reading what the person below said about how there's no adult supervision and all. To bad I can't tell u about the food.

Just another average pizza store. It has a good up close to street location that I as a new urbanist enjoy. The pizza is about average and has to be eaten right away. Not really good in a microwave. They need to put more sauce in pizza.

We moved here about a year ago and we absolutely love their pizza. I don't necessarily like to eat at the restaurant because it kinda has a weird vibe to me but as far as pizza goes it is fantastic!

There's really nothing special about this place. I order from Dominick's just because it's super convenient -- it's about three blocks away from my house. The pizza crust is pretty dry and floury, but the sauce isn't bad, and their Margherita pizza is decent (but you have to ask for it; it's not on the menu). As far as their pasta goes...meh. Not really the best quality.

    (2)
  • John W.

Simply the best pizza around! The pizza specials with 3 toppings for the price you pay? Cant be beaten! Must try the Margherita Alla Rosa, traditional at its finest. The baked clams are to die for, nobody makes them fresher. The Super steak sandwich is killer and not to be outdone by the Enzolini sub. Service you say? The management and their staff are top notch. I asked to cater a company luncheon 1 day in advance for 30 people. They pulled it off with no hesitation. Not a single bite of food was leftover and my coworkers raved about the taste and quality. Do yourself and your family a favor, stop at Dominick's for your next pizza pie. You wont regret it!

ATTENTION, PLEASE! Friends, Romans & Countrymen, "Pizza Quest" is over! Yes, loyal readers, I found it.... The pizza my dad first bought home from Mary Lou's in the Grant Works section of Cicero over 50 years ago! It's been hiding right next door to me in Villa Park all this time under the apellation EXTRA THIN CRUST. Who'd have thunk it? I had mine topped with the nicely old-fashioned spiced tomato sauce, greasy gooey mozzarella and big chunks of sausage, just like I remember from another millennium and practically salted the pie with my tears of joy! For me, this is as good as pizza gets, when you get a taste for this kind of pizza, which is usually on a Saturday night when you don't have any plans and there's nothing good on TV and you don't feel like cooking because you're tired from a long tough week at work....The only thing missing now is my dad to order and go pick it up for me, but since he always used to try to sneak on half anchovies which made the entire pizza taste fishy and disgusting, maybe it's a good thing he's passed on to that big carry out in the sky!

Good solid local pizza place. Convenient for a quick bite. The crust is ok, not the best, but still better than any of the national chains. Service is always quick and friendly, they always have some good coupons so dinner ends up be a very affordable affair, and of course they DELIVER, which we love, because I hate driving after I get home from work. Have heard their veal parmigiana rocks, so I am going to have to try it soon! All in all I will be visiting again!

Since I had to switch to a gluten free diet, I have been on a quest to find the best gluten free pizza. When I first tried the gluten free pizza from Dominick's I was surprised to find that it was different than all the rest. For those who know gluten free foods, you know that most times GF pizza crust is chalky and gritty. Here I found the complete opposite. The crust was moist and flavorful, just like any good thin crust pizza. It was honestly THE BEST GF pizza I ever had. BUT, more recently I ordered my favorite pizza, only to take the most disappointing bite ever and find that they had switched to the chalky pizza crust that you can find pretty much anywhere. I assume this type of crust is probably cheaper, but it comes at a great cost to texture and flavor. Unless I hear that they went back to the old GF crust, I'm not wasting my money there again.

Dominicks is our go-to pizza place for Friday nights. I'm a huge fan of their thin crust pizza, but they make a mean stuffed as well. I usually order a thin crust with sausage, bacon, black olives and green peppers - the pizza comes LOADED with these beautiful toppings. My bro introduced me to what he calls the "italian beef" pizza. He orders a thin crust with hot giardiniera and roast beef toppings. It's amazing and greasy (in a good way). I've never had a pizza like this. Whoever wrote the review about the pizza tasting like cardboard is crazy. Love the fried mush and cauliflower. I haven't had a chance to try pastas or sandwiches, but that's only b/c I can't resist their pizza.

It's run by a bunch of high school kids...not that's a bad thing. But, they have no adults supervising. We ordered a large pizza - 1/2 cheese only, 1/4 mushroom, 1/4 pepperoni to go via the phone. Got there within 20 minutes and took it home. Tasted like a cold card board box. I don't get it. Yelp's Candice G must be an investor here. My friends claim it's the best pizza around....until recently. This terrible tasting problem has been a repeated pattern. Perhaps they're changing ownership so that nobody is in charge? Or it's the newly re-made CHILDREN OF THE CORN who make pizza. What ever the reason, stay away....

Mmmmmmmmmm! Great deep dish pizza and awesome cannoli. I love the sauce it is never too sweet or bitter, the crust is crunchy and never soggy. Maybe one day I will try something else on the menu.

To put it simply this place has really really good pizza. This is the only place in town my wife and four daughters can agree on. Thin crust cheese and thin crust sausage are a Friday night staple and when I'm allowed to be a little more adventerous the italian beef pizza is epic. Delivery is always fast even on Fri nights so I give this place my highest recommendation.

I am confused as to why people are rating this place so low. My wife and I recently moved into the area and we have already ordered here a few times. We love the pizza! It is a nice alternative to the standard Chicago deep dish that we normally would get. They did mix up our order one time and gave us an Italian beef pizza but we ended up liking it more than the pizza we were trying to order in the first place! I would suggest trying this place for yourself before listening to some of the negative reviews from others.

Great Pizza and this is coming from someone with more than 50 years experience eating some of the best pizzas in Chicago, italy and all over the world. Along with a large family and many friends who are also pizza officianados who love it also. I know everyone has their own tastes but I have to laugh when i see some of these other bad reviews. Shameful. My guess is that these folks probably prefer a pizza hut pizza from Arkansas and if so keep eating there and leave this place alone. Some of our other favorite chicago pizza places are Lou Malnatis and Robertos in Elmhurst. But like i said this place is really excellent. Our favorite is the Dominick's specail which has eveything on it. The daily pizza specials are a very good deal as are the lunch specials. I'm going in a few mintues to pick up the thursday special which is a medium 3 topping for less than $11. We get sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom. Their Italian subs are also great. We usually get carry out but have also eaten in their cute little restaurant. This is a family owned joint with locals who obviously care about their food. We've served this pizza to hundreds of people at parties, seminars, family events etc and usually get great reviews. Not sure what planet these other folks are on and it's unfortunate since this place is great. I travel the world and use review sites a lot but i have learned you have to use them with discretion. On my way to pick up a great pizza. Bon Appetit!

My favorite local pizza. The sausage on my pie is the object of most scrutiny for me when taking on any good Chicago pizza joint. Dominick's does it right. Their pan and thin crusts are best. They have the deep dish and its definitely delicious, but the cheese doesn't string infinitely and sometimes gets a tad rubbery. If you know deep dish, you know what I'm talking about. Owners are friendly and all the pizza's are handcrafted from homemade dough.

crappy, dry to the point of being inedible hot wings. meat lasagna nothing special, pasta overcooked. delivery took over an hour even though we live under a quarter mile away. Caesar salad dressing is good but the chicken in the salad was obviously not freshly cooked. fries aren't good at all but the cheeseburger was okay. won't order from them again.

I like Dominick's. Not only do they have pizza but pasta and the ilk. Try the thin crust, Chicago-style pizza that they specialize in. Great place that delivers!

Terrible customer service. Terrible food. Terrible prices. I ate here twice. Once I had the pizza and it was bad and once the Italian beef and it was unedible. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere (anywhere) else.

I used to order weekly when dominicks was on addsin rd in VP. That was way back when...after they moved to St. Chas, I ordered and YUCK.. the pizza was teh worst...I stop ordering from them and moved on to Villa Nova & Nardis. Recently I had some family members out of town..so my kids n I decided to order sandwiches from dominicks...a southwest chicken ( was not bad, but not great) and 2 ruebens (YUCK)...we ordered deluxe (fries) had to beg for pickles ( which they never said we'd be charged for, and 3 cannoli's ( worst cannoli's ever). The bread on the ruebens was so dry and britytle had to throw ,most of it out. The sauce on the side wasnt even for halp a sandwich, and all the fries were dried out and nasty from very old grease, I assume. So after sucking down this crap, we thought YUM cannoli's ....OMG whatever these were, whoever made them, needs to stop. The cannoli tube was dry and tasted like it was burnt and old, the filling tasted like cream cheese with too much sugar added...and where were the pistachios and powder sugar???? no idea! I never called bc I knew I was gonna get a teenager on the phone who couldnt "do anything"...but this CRAP cost me over $43. plus tip,,,,NEVER AGAIN....now I remember why I stopped ordering from them yrs ago, MY BAD! Down the street is Villa Nova...trust me...they care about their customers being happy and they give you good sized portions for the prices...

Have been ordering from Michael Anthony's down the road for some time. Decided to give Dominick's a chance for some variety. The pizza was so-so and the staff were very disgruntled. It wasn't a bad pizza but just wasn't up the the level of a lot of the other places in the area. They do have some toppings that other places don't but after we had it both my wife and I agreed that it didn't measure up.

Awesome pizza, great staff. Have only taken out, but the dining room looks nice. We've had the thin crust and the pan. Sauce is awesome, so is the crust. The wednesday and thursday specials are awesome.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
